Apple is preparing to launch the iPhone 17 series in September 2025, and it’s packed with exciting upgrades. This time, the lineup will include the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Notably, Apple has decided to drop the Plus model due to low demand. Design, Display, and Features
The iPhone 17 will feature a 6.3-inch display, slightly larger than the 6.1-inch screen on the iPhone 16. However, the overall design will stay the same, with a pill-shaped camera bump and two vertical rear cameras. For the first time, the entire iPhone 17 lineup will come with ProMotion technology, offering a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling. Additionally, the Always-On Display feature, previously limited to Pro models, might now be available on the standard iPhone 17. Apple is also expected to use LTPO panels, which will improve power efficiency by dropping the refresh rate to as low as 1Hz when the phone is idle.
iPhone 17 Performance, Cameras, and Pricing
Under the hood, the iPhone 17 will run on Apple’s new A19 chip, built on an advanced 3nm process for better performance and efficiency. It will also come with 8GB of RAM for faster multitasking. Apple is reportedly introducing its first custom Wi-Fi chip with Wi-Fi 7 support, ensuring faster and more reliable connectivity. The battery will be easier to replace thanks to a new adhesive, but charging speeds will remain the same at up to 35W.
The camera system is getting a major upgrade too. The iPhone 17 will feature a 48MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. The front camera will jump from 12MP to 24MP, making selfies and video calls sharper than ever.
