Prime Minister Narendra Modi came back to India after visiting five countries – Ghana, Trinidad & Tobago, Argentina, Brazil, and Namibia. The Foreign Ministry said the trip was very successful.
During this visit, PM Modi made his 17th speech in a foreign country’s parliament. This is special because all Congress party Prime Ministers together gave only 17 speeches in foreign parliaments over many years. PM Modi matched this number in just 10 years. This shows India is now more active in world affairs.
In Ghana, PM Modi received the country’s top honor called the Order of the Star of Ghana. No Indian Prime Minister had visited Ghana for more than 30 years before this. In Trinidad & Tobago, he spoke in parliament during celebrations of 180 years of Indians coming to the country. In Namibia, people stood and clapped for his speech about working together in health, technology and government work.
This trip shows India wants to be friends with more countries in Africa, Caribbean and South America. PM Modi talked about important things like helping poor countries grow, fighting climate change, making democracy stronger, and changing world organizations like the UN to help developing countries more.
PM Modi has spoken in parliaments of many countries before – like the US, UK, Australia and African nations. He always talks about India being a good friend to other countries.
In Trinidad & Tobago, people saw the special chair India gifted their parliament 55 years ago. In Namibia, people cheered “Modi! Modi!” when he got their highest award.
As India gets ready to lead the BRICS group in 2026, this trip shows India’s voice is becoming more important in world matters. PM Modi’s visits help make India’s friendships with other countries stronger.
