Indian tax officers caught a big shipment of illegal goods from Pakistan. They found 39 containers full of Pakistani products at Mumbai’s Nhava Sheva port. These goods weighed 1,115 tonnes and were worth ₹9 crore. The officers said someone was trying to cheat by hiding where the goods really came from.

The smugglers had written false papers saying the goods came from UAE. But the officers checked carefully and found the truth – all these items actually came from Pakistan. They were just passing through Dubai to trick Indian customs. This was part of a special operation called “Operation Deep Manifest” to stop such illegal trade.

After the Pahalgam terror attack, India completely banned all trade with Pakistan from May 2025. But some dishonest traders keep trying to break this rule. They change papers and use tricky shipping routes to hide Pakistani goods. The tax department arrested one businessman involved in this illegal activity.

Officers explained how the smuggling worked – first the goods went from Pakistan to Dubai in some ships. Then they were moved to different ships coming to India. The smugglers also sent money to Pakistan for these goods, which is against the law. Many people in Pakistan and UAE worked together to hide the real origin of these products.

Because of security reasons, Indian customs officers are now checking all shipments very carefully. They are using computers and secret information to catch more such illegal goods. This recent seizure shows they are doing good work. The government says they will keep watching closely to stop all banned Pakistani goods from entering India.

The tax department warned all traders to follow the rules properly. They said anyone trying to cheat will be caught and punished. This big seizure proves that the customs officers are working hard to protect India’s borders and economy. They want to make sure no banned items enter the country through fake papers or other tricks.
