India and Vietnam are working more closely together at sea. India’s Ambassador to Vietnam, Sandeep Arya, went to Tien Sa Port in Da Nang to welcome three Indian Navy ships – INS Delhi, INS Shakti, and INS Kiltan. These ships stopped in Vietnam during their trip around Southeast Asia. This visit shows that both countries want to build stronger ties and help keep the Indo-Pacific region safe and peaceful.
Rear Admiral Susheel Menon, who leads the Indian Navy’s Eastern Fleet, commands the ships. Ambassador Arya met him and talked about the ships and the work they are doing. He was also shown the new systems made in India that are now being used in the Navy. The ambassador said he was impressed by how skilled and professional the Navy is. He thanked the sailors for helping build stronger friendship with Vietnam.
The Vietnam People’s Navy and the Da Nang city officials welcomed the Indian ships with a ceremony. This warm welcome showed the strong bond between the two nations. The visit is not only about the ships but also about talking, learning, and sharing ideas between the two countries.
Indian Navy officers will meet with top leaders from Vietnam’s military and navy. They will also speak with local government officials in Da Nang. These talks will help both countries better understand each other and plan more ways to work together at sea.
This visit is part of India’s MAHASAGAR plan, which aims to build strong partnerships in the Indian Ocean and nearby areas. The Indian Navy wants to be a trusted friend and partner to other countries.
During the visit, sailors from both navies will play sports together, visit each other’s ships, and take part in cultural events. They will also have training sessions and talks to learn how to work better as a team in the future.
