Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar played amazing knocks to help India draw the fourth Test against England at Old Trafford on Sunday. Both batsmen stayed not out and scored centuries, giving India one of their most memorable fightbacks in recent Test history.

India was in big trouble when their second innings began. They had lost two wickets without scoring a run and were still 311 runs behind England’s total. It looked like India would lose the match and the series. But Shubman Gill scored a solid 103, KL Rahul added a strong 90, and then Jadeja and Sundar stood firm. Jadeja made 107 not out, and Sundar stayed unbeaten on 100. Their efforts helped India reach 425/4 and save the game.

England had made a huge total of 669 runs in their first innings, and their bowlers had India in deep trouble early. But India showed great fight and refused to give up. On the final day, England’s bowlers could not take wickets, and their frustration was clear. Even when England offered a draw earlier in the final session, India refused. Jadeja and Sundar were focused on reaching their centuries first.

Jadeja hit several boundaries off Liam Dawson and Joe Root. Sundar also batted beautifully, playing confident drives and pulls. Jadeja brought up his century by hitting Harry Brook for a six and a four. Sundar followed by hitting a four to reach his maiden Test century. Their 200-run partnership helped India hold on.

After Sundar reached his hundred, the players finally shook hands, and the match ended in a draw. India came out feeling like the winners after an incredible comeback that kept the five-match series alive.
