Green moong dal recipe ingredients and instructions are below.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup soaked green moong dal
1 tablespoon tamarind extract
3 cloves garlic
3 dry red chili
6 curry leaves
1 tablespoon refined oil
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 tomato
1 tablespoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon turmeric
1/2 teaspoon asafoetida
Salt as required
2 cup water
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
Green moong dal Instructions :
- Furthermore, to start this recipe first wash the moong dal 3 – 4 times with water and then take the pressure cooker and now add in the moong dal in it.
- Now add in the chopped tomatoes, salt and garlic. Then add in the 2 cup water and then cook the dal for 2 – 3 whistles.
- Certainly, take a pan, heat the oil. Add in the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, turmeric and asafoetida. Then add in the ginger paste and red chillies and mix for 2 minutes.
- Moreover, add in the cooked dal and salt in the pan and let it boil for 3 – 4 minutes. Now finally add in the kokum or tamarind pulp and then put simmer for another 3 – 4 minutes to make the dal thick.
- Now the recipe is ready. Serve with steamed rice or chapati etc.
